Bernard Cycling Kit

I’m a big fan of sports jerseys of all types, and this Bernard cycling kit has to be the best looking one I’ve seen. Great use of color and type. It definitely stands out from the rest of kits I’ve seen. Most are just terribly designed. I couldn’t find much info, but it seems to be a personal cycling kit designed by Brandon Sincock that was made available for sale for a bit. Must have been a blast to design this. One of my dream jobs would be to work for a bicycle company designing frame graphics.

LEGO Imagine

Here’s a brilliant ad campaign for LEGO by German agency Jung Von Matt that visualizes famous cartoon characters using the basic square LEGO block. Color is used to create characters from The Simpsons, South Park, The Smurfs, The Ninja Turtles, Donald Duck, Bert and Ernie, Asterix and Obelix and Lucky Luke and the Daltons.

Tim Navis Photography

I’ve been a fan of Tim Navis’ work for sometime now, and I’ve been meaning to feature it here. A recent post on ISO50 inspired me to finally do it.

Tim’s photo work is exceptional. What stands out the most for me are the compositions and color tones of the images. The colors have a natural, almost vintage feel to them. Tim creates vibrate and exciting colors, but there’s also a washed out look to them that I love. The blacks are never crushed, and the whites have a slight yellow tint to them. I aim for similar color tones in my photos.
