Geometry Club

Geometry Club is an Instagram based project by Dave Mullen that collects architectural photographs taken using two specific guidelines:

– Your apex needs to be aligned centrally on both the X and Y axis.
– Edges should fall off the image at the same point, symmetrically.

Just follow these two rules, and tag your image with #geometryclub to be featured. The results are beautiful.

Sebastian Weiss is a photographer, and a photo columnist at Architectural Digest Germany, based in Hamburg, Germany. His architectural photos are stunning, and I love how he really captures the essence of a building, and does it in a very minimal way.

Wonder which camera he’s using. My guess is he’s using an iPhone, but can’t confirm.

For his most update-to-date photos, follow him on Instagram.

Oscar Niemeyer was a Brazilian modernist architect known for his design of Brasília, and his work on the United Nations building in NYC. His design for Brasília is always an inspiration for me. The way he worked with the lines and space really make it a beautiful and functional construction.

These wonderful photos taken by Marcel Gautherot bring out the beauty in the architecture. You can see more of them, and read more about Brasília, in this article.
