Geometry Club

Geometry Club is an Instagram based project by Dave Mullen that collects architectural photographs taken using two specific guidelines:

– Your apex needs to be aligned centrally on both the X and Y axis.
– Edges should fall off the image at the same point, symmetrically.

Just follow these two rules, and tag your image with #geometryclub to be featured. The results are beautiful.

Sebastian Weiss is a photographer, and a photo columnist at Architectural Digest Germany, based in Hamburg, Germany. His architectural photos are stunning, and I love how he really captures the essence of a building, and does it in a very minimal way.

Wonder which camera he’s using. My guess is he’s using an iPhone, but can’t confirm.

For his most update-to-date photos, follow him on Instagram.

Bernard Series 1227

I wrote about Bernard’s beautiful cycling kit a few years ago, and now they’ve released a new design with the Series 1227.

The series includes short sleeve jersey, bib shorts, wind vest and arm warmers, and are all made in Italy.

Founder and designer, Brandon Sincock, explains the design:

The new kit is an evolution of the original design – working with similar elements, and a shared design sensibility, but further exploring layering & the overlapping of elements as they wrap around the body, and transition from front to back. As well, color and typography are always key elements in our designs, and the way the designs play within the context of a rider’s unique position on the bike.

I’m a cyclist, and it’s hard to find clothing that is really well designed, and functional. Looks like Bernard is on the right track.

The great photography is by Jordan Clark Haggard.

Leica M Edition 60

Anyone have $20,000 to drop on this Leica?

To celebrate of the 60th anniversary of M camera, Leica produced the limited edition Leica M Edition 60. The kit includes a Leica M-P digital camera and the Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens, both created by Audi Design.

This is more of a collectors item than anything, but it’s amazing to see the amount of detail that went into it, even down to the packaging and presentation.
