Incredible work from Studio 2br.

The folks at Kind Company made me aware of this Flickr set featuring work from Peter Seitz that wasn’t published in the book, Peter Seitz: Designing a Life. I wasn’t aware that he designed the Braun letterhead under the direction of Otl Aicher. Very nice.

This was a pleasent surprise. The Milwaukee Police Department recently launched a beautiful and informative website for itself. It was designed by Cramer-Krasselt pro-bono and developed by LISS Interactive. The great design is a big plus, but what strikes me the most about this website is how the content is easily accessible and presented in a clear way. This is a great example on how good design can educate and inform the people. My only issue with the site is the overdone parallax effect.

Some very nice work from Switzerland based studio, Bureau Collective.

Keeping with this weeks theme of classic design, here’s a great site called Art of the Arcade by Nick Dart that showcases the lost video game designs and illustrations from the 70s and 80s. Hopefully it gets updated more frequently.

I stumbled upon this great online collection of classic computer brochures that are part of the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. The collection spans from 1948 to 1988 and is a great source of design inspiration.
