Camilla Akrans has instantly become one of my favorite photographers. Her images are simple, interesting and the colors are dreamy. Beautiful.

The Light Trails of Tullamarine
Australian student Hamish Innes-Brown setup a camera at the Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne and snapped these wonderful photos of planes landing. By using a slow shutter speed, he was able to create these beautiful patters and colors. Another great example creating something special from an unexpected source.
You can purchase prints of the photos here.
Ezra Stoller
Ezra Stoller (1915 – 2004) was an architectural photographer who’s work included iconic structures like Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and the TWA Terminal at JFK Airport.
I love how he managed to capture the lines of the structures so well. He had a gift of knowing the perfect angle and composition to use to make the architecture have real impact. Like in the image pictured here, in which the curvature of the opening in the roof and the staircase live harmoniously.
You can see more photos on his work here.
Luminant Point Arrays
Brilliant series of photographs by Stephan Tillmans of tube televisions the moment that they are switched off. The results are stunning. I love when something beautiful is created from an unexpected source.
Loose Leaf Edition 01
Loose Leaf is a new publication by Manual that features large-format printed art works. What’s unique about it is that each edition comes packaged ready to be installed on your wall. The publication is unbound and each piece if hole-punched allowing you to easily display it on a wall with small pushpins. Pretty neat.

Need Supply 2011 Spring Catalogue
Led by Gabriel Ricioppo, the internal design team at fashion boutique Need Supply have created a stellar brand identity. Their latest creation is this Spring catalogue that’s beautifully executed. What I love the most is the great photography, which Gabriel told me was all shot on film. You can see all the spreads here.
