I freakin’ love these World Cup Stamps designed by Portuguese studio, Maan. Unfortunately, it’s just a self-project. I’d buy the entire set if they were for sale. They also design some packaging around it, and they put together a Tumblr to showcase all the stamps.

Fridolin Müller
Fridolin Müller (1926–2006) was a Swiss graphic designer, editor, and teacher who studied at The Basel School of Design. He designed the poster pictured above in 1963 for the Eidg. Schützenfest Zürich (Swiss Federal Marksman Festival). One of my favorites. Saw one in person once, it’s huge.
Studio Iknoki
Studio Iknoki is an Italy based design studio by Christian Jugovac and Francesco Greguol. They’ve done some great work, but I’m nuts for the work they did for “Acqua e Territorio”, an exhibition and the conference curated by Latitude Platform. I love this very stripped-down style.
They have more of their work on Behance.
P.A.R
P.A.R is a design studio based in Barcelona made up of Iris Tarraga & Lucía Castro. I love their work, and their aesthetic. I really really love the branding work they did for the Instituto Latinoamericano de Estudios Universitarios a Distancia. So perfect.
Omit Everything Superfluous
My goal is to omit everything superfluous so that the essential is shown to best possible advantage.
Leica T
The Leica T is a new mirror-less camera system which features a super minimal design, and a body made completely out of a single block of aluminum. Aesthetically, it’s beautiful. There are only a few buttons on the top, and the everything else is handled through the touchscreen on the back.
The level of engineering and craftsmanship that goes into making a Leica T is impressive as expected. The way the strap connects to the camera seems brilliant, and the body is polished by hand for 45 minutes. The video above shows the entire 45 minute polishing process.
A lot of products today don’t offer this kind of craftsmanship. Good to see some companies that still care.
