Lovely set of old VHS box graphics. I grew up with this stuff, and never really paid attention to it then, but looking at it now makes me appreciate the designs much more.

MacDonald Educational Covers
No, not the Micky D’s that makes the delicious, but unhealthy Big Mac. These covers were from the MacDonald Educational Ltd of London and were published for the Schools Council from 1972-1973. Lovely. You can see the full set over at Wanken.
PBS Identity Manual
Drool. The folks at Container List posted some photos of a PBS Identity Manual created by Chermayeff & Geismar back in 1984. The manual is part of the Milton Glaser Design Study Center and Archives at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I wonder if non SVA folks can get access to the archives. Would love to study this manual in person.
