Peter emailed me about his third and final version of his brilliant Love Will
Tear Us Apart Again poster. This final run is a very limited edition of just 75 silkscreen prints produced by K2 Screen and printed on 270gsm
Celloglas Mirri H metallic gray paper with ‘chalk white’, a
special ink for metallic surfaces that creates a strong contrast
with the holo-foil surface of the paper.

Designer Jeff Sheldon has just launched Ugmonk, a clothing brand focused on providing high-quality products with simple, yet fresh graphics. Gorgeous tee’s.

Soulellis Studios has recently printed up this fall 2008 events poster for Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning. Their work for the university is simple gorgeous and inspiring. What interests me the most is how they’ve been using the fluorescent Pantone range for most of the work. Once printed, the colors are spectacular and really bring extra life to the designs. The print in the photo above is using Pantone 807 which is a vibrant purple.
I love it. So much so that I’m going to use one of the colors for a 2009 calendar that I have in the works. So stay tuned for that.

Here’s an excellent site that walks you through the history of visual communication, giving you a glimpse of the different styles through-out history. My favorite section, obviously, is the Modernism section which covers the Swiss Style and includes some nice galleries of work by Max Bill, Armin Hofmann, Fridolin Mueller and Josef Müller-Brockmann.

I’m loving this new sans-serif called Replica by Norm. It was designed on a strict grid system and is available in the following weights: Regular, Italic, Light, Light Italic, Bold and Bold Italic. You can get the entire family for around $450 USD from Lineto.
