Year Of The Sheep

A few weeks ago I finished refreshing my personal site, Year of the Sheep. I’m getting a little tired with Flash, especially when it comes to updating, so this time around I used Indexhibit. Indexhibit is a web application used to build and maintain an archetypal, invisible website format that combines text, image, movie and sound. I personally love it. It’s easy as hell to use and update and the CSS is very flexible. Oh and it’s free. Definitely check it out.

And for those wondering, I picked the name cause I was born in 1979, the year of the sheep in the Chinese zodiac.

  1. Thanks for the tip Antonio. A bit off topic, but I read your comment on the serif blog about Helvetica and I couldn’t agree with you more. Its the designer not the typeface

  2. Yeah I’m just tired of people complain about the usage of Helvetica. It seems like the cool thing to do now. Helvetica is a beautiful typeface. If a design is boring it’s not the typeface, it’s the designer.

  3. I’ve latched onto your blog recently and find some great stuff on here – just an FYI on your portfolio site, it’s AstraZeneca, not Zenica (I spent three of my summers there as an intern and will have that logotype burned into my memory forever) 😉 Did they ever pick up your design?

  4. Paul, thanks for the correction. I’m not sure if they picked any of the logos since I did the work as freelance for another studio.

  5. I know it’s an old thread, but I thought I’d ask something: are you having problems with browser compatibility? On my site: Firefox looks great. Safari looks great. IE looks like hell. I know there are LOTS of problems with IE per indexhibit’s forum, but yours seems to work fine. What’s your secret? 🙂 Maybe you can take a look at my CSS, if you’re willing. Cheers.

  6. MP, send over your site address and CSS file and I’ll have a look. IE is a junk of a browser so it’s not surprising that you’re having display issues.
