Going through the work of Morse Studio, I notice that they pay very close attention to minor details. Their work has a certain quality to it that makes it all feel very luxurious, and the textures of the paper stock they select really make the pieces shine. Excellent work by this London based studio.
Here’s some brilliant design work by War Design for adhesive manufacturer Construction Technologies Australia (CTA). I personally love the contrast of the modern design with a very technical product. The beautiful design not only makes the products visual interesting, but it creates a functional labeling system that’s super easy to comprehend.
While searching for who knows what, I found these vintage Ravensburger Travel Series games from the 70s. What immediately struck me were the beautiful package designs and the stunning color palettes. Simple, straight to the point graphics with the name of the game set in Helvetica.
It goes to show how graphic design for consumer products has lost its way. Just compare these wonderful package designs to one of their current games. Terrible.
Stunning packaging design by Espluga+Associates for Ms Men, a skin care product for men. Makes me want to go out and buy the entire set.
One of my favorite design studios, BVD, just finished up some stunning new work for the German company LemonAid Beverages. They created a simple and eye catching design for the new drinks ChariTea and Lemonaid. BVD also selected a classic bottle design on which the graphics are silkscreened instead of using labels. I’d drink this stuff even if it tasted bad just because the design is gorgeous. Also, definitely check out the LemonAid site by demodern. The typography and videos are awesome.
Jamie Conkleton is a recent graduate of University College Falmouth and is extremely talented at such a young age. If you’re in London and need some fresh talent, definitely scoop this kid up.
