Studio Iknoki

Studio Iknoki is an Italy based design studio by Christian Jugovac and Francesco Greguol. They’ve done some great work, but I’m nuts for the work they did for “Acqua e Territorio”, an exhibition and the conference curated by Latitude Platform. I love this very stripped-down style.

They have more of their work on Behance.

Great poster series here by NYC based designer, Joseph Han. The posters are for “Ferran Adrià: Notes On Creativity”, an event on Interbrand’s Design Tour 2014, curated out-of-office excursions to design-centered destinations in New York City. The poster series uses the plate, an intrinsic part of Adrià’s food presentation, as a dynamic, ever-changing graphic device.

The B2 poster is screen printed in silver onto Ebony Colorplan and is supplied with a metallic pen, allowing fans to record the results. The website features the full tournament schedule and you can customize it for your team and time zone. It will also updated with results as the throughout the tournament.

Beautiful, simple way to following the World Cup.

Vignelli: Oppositions

Oppositions

Massimo Vignelli is known for many pieces of work that are now famous, like the American Airlines logo, the Stendig Calendar, and the NYC Subway Map. But one of my favorites works of his is the design for Oppositions. I’ve written about it before. It was an architectural journal published from 1973 to 1984, and it’s an excellent display of balance, composition, and hierarchy.

I figured this is the perfect time to remember this piece of work.
