Washington D.C. based designer Andy Babb has created Polygon, a typeface built on a strict grid of equilateral triangles. Lovely idea and execution. Designing a typeface on a triangle grid does create some interesting forms.
To go along with the typeface, Andy has designed a poster displaying Polygon in use. It’s screen printed with red and silver ink on pink 110lb paper. It’s gorgeous.
It’s an ugly poster and the font has been done before, this really isn’t worthy of Aisle One
I agree with Frank to certain extent but there’s no denying that it looks pretty cool. Not a revolution but nice all the same.
I never claimed that it was revolutionary and I disagree with you Frank. I think it’s very much worthy of this site.
It looks cool dude, no doubt about that!!
I really love the Os. They remind me of some sort of hard candy.
http://www.polygonfont.com has been updated to feature three additional styles of Polygon (including two chromatic styles). All styles of the type family are now available for purchase at http://www.HypeForType.com
