systems is an exhibition of commissioned poster designs and ‘60s Braun products, that is curated by das programm and produced in association with Braun.
Thirty-four leading graphic designers and studios were invited to produce a poster design on the theme of Braun systems design. The list of contributors includes Experimental Jetset, Spin, Bibliothèque, Derek Kim, Neubau, almost Modern, Hey, Lundgren+Lindqvist and many more. I’ve also been asked to contribute, which is a great honor for me to be included in such an amazing group of designers.
I also designed the official website, which is hosted here on A1. We will be adding six new designs everyday, so be sure to check back.
The exhibit will take place from Nov. 25 – Dec. 31 at the Walter Knoll showroom in London. The works will also be available for purchase as a limited edition of A1 prints, individually or as a cased set.
I’m very excited to be a part of this great exhibit, and I wish I could experience it in person. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area. More info below.

Hi,
this sounds and looks very interesting. Could you give some more information about the project? What was the precise briefing? I see a lot of Akzidenz Grotesk, was that part of the briefing or just a coincidence?
Thanks
Yes, Akzidenz was part of the brief, which was pretty open. Every designer was left to interpret the systems of Braun Design. You can read more on the systems site, and each design has a short rationale from the designer. http://aisleone.net/systems/?page_id=16
Beautiful looking posters, I particularly like the photographic one, bottom left. I’ll be sure to check it out if I’m in London.
