For all you geek rock lovers out there Weezer is a releasing a new album June 17th with the first single, Pork & Beans, hitting our ear drums on April 22nd. Amazon has a short clip of the song and it sounds fuckin’ awesome! Old school Weezer is back! The cover design is even sweet.
After 10 years of waiting the brilliant UK band Portishead is releasing a new album. “Third” (cover above) will be released on CD on April 28th and includes the following tracks:

If you live under a rock and haven’t heard by now, Radiohead has released their new album called In Rainbows which is available for download on their website. Personally I think it might be their best album yet, yes even better than the amazing Ok Computer. The album pulls the best parts from all their previous recordings and mixes it all together into one euphoric experience. If you haven’t purchased it yet, head over to InRainbows.com and pay what you want for it. I myself payed $20. It’s worth a lot more than that.
Apple has made a deal with EMI to make available EMI’s entire catalog without any digital rights management (DRM) protection. This is great news! Apple will also offer higher-quality songs that will be encoded at 256kbps AAC instead of the previous 128kbps AAC encoding. The music and videos will be available in May. A great step in the right direction. Soon all the major companies will follow.
New album by the Chili Peppers hit the shelves today. Pretty good album. Check it out!
What a great idea for a site. L ‘Oreal Paris has a created a type of “portal” open to all types of artists. Site is split up into 4 different studios (movie, photo, music. painter) where you can send submit your style. Pretty sweet. The design is very slick, I love it.
