I’m in love with the work done by David Bennett. Talented chap.
AisleOne. A visual journal on design, photography, film, music and culture.

This has to be one of my favorite corporate logos. I love the balance between the two squares and the minimal type style. There is a Swiss Air Lines office here in New York that has this logo up nice and big, but on big red cubes. Looks great. I have to get some photos of it.
My son Dino was born last night! He’s wonderful! Posts will be sparse the next few days but I’ll be back once we get settled in!

It’s work like this that makes my obsession with Graphic Design even stronger and gets my design juices flowing. OK-RM is a collaborative partnership between Oliver Knight and Rory Mcgrath that is based in London and New York. These guys pump out exceptional work.

This weekend I finally picked up Grid Systems in Graphic Design by Josef Müller Brockmann. To say this is a great book would be an understatement. I think it’s one of the most important books on graphic design and every serious designer should put this at the top of their must read list. Brockmann does an exceptional job of explaining why a grid is so valuable to a design, and the important rules of setting type on a grid. This book alone will make me a better designer.
I also picked up Brockmann’s other great book, The Graphic Artist and his Design Problems. I haven’t read it yet but I plan to this week.
I’ve added photos of these books to my Flickr page along with:
