In 2001 graphic design students Daniel Fritz and Maik Stapelberg created the 7th issue of their school magazine, Akademische Mitteilungen (Academic Announcements). Their professor at State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart had the idea of creating a magazine which should be designed and published by students. Each issue is done by a different group of students and Daniel and Maik created the seventh issue on the topic of communication.

AM7 is beautiful from start to finish but unfortunately it’s no longer in print. The site for AM7 is still up, which has a gallery of the pages, and Japanese mag Shift has an interview with the editors on their site. Daniel and Maik also designed a poster to coincide with the magazine that’s for sale by You Work For Them.
