Battin is the personal portfolio of 20 year old designer, Philip Dam Roadley-Battin, who is based in Copenhagen/Berlin. This kid does some really nice work. My favorite is his JOSEF MULLER-BOCKWURST poster which is a tribute to Josef Muller-Brockmann’s legendary 1954 Zurich Tonhalle Concert Poster.
A commemorative wordmark on the occassion of Helvetica’s 50 Year Anniversary. Translated for 9 different countries with a strong design culture. Typeface aside, the logo serendipitously includes the number 50 and a subliminal Swiss cross.

Pretty cool clock by Established & Sons that uses twelve different fonts to display the time and date.
Interesting article by Khoi Vinh on padding your grid elements and not laying them right on a grid line. I don’t necessarily agree with this concept but it’s still an interesting insight. The situation he uses is very specific and I think it can be avoided if thought about before the creation of the grid.
Seems like they are redesigning CNN.com and have a beta version of it live. It’s about freaking time! The current site is a really mess, no structure, no organization. I’m digging this beta version, a lot cleaner and easier to read. Well done. Now hurry up and launch it!
