Here’s an interesting article about how the Macs market share has doubled since last summer. Designers and developers can no longer ignore Mac users. They should have never been ignored in the first place, that’s bad design.

Mac OS X Browsers Benchmarked
![]()
Interesting benchmark tests with the top OS X browsers. It seems like Omniweb, the browser I use daily, is the fastest of them all. I heart OW.
Coda

text editor + transmit + css editor + terminal + books + more = whoah.
Panic has just released this app for Mac OS X called Coda that’s a text editor, css editor, Transmit and more in one! Bye bye BBEdit! Coda sounds very promising. I’m going to mess around with it for a bit and then write up a little review. In the meantime check it out.
Shiira 2.0

Shiira 2.0 has been released today. Personally I think it’s still a beta but Shiira is definitely a worthy browser.
Apple delays Leopard until October
Ummm… I have no idea how I missed this news. This does stink but at the same time I would rather wait for a stable OS than have them rush a half-assed product out the door just to make us happy. Seems like the reason for the delay is the iPhone. They had to take resources from the OS X team to help out on the iPhone.
Apple and EMI offer DRM free music
Apple has made a deal with EMI to make available EMI’s entire catalog without any digital rights management (DRM) protection. This is great news! Apple will also offer higher-quality songs that will be encoded at 256kbps AAC instead of the previous 128kbps AAC encoding. The music and videos will be available in May. A great step in the right direction. Soon all the major companies will follow.
