    Ruedi Ruegg

    Ruedi Rüegg 1936 — 2011

    November 8th, 2011

We have lost another brilliant graphic designer, who was one of the pioneers of the International Typographic Style. Swiss graphic designer Ruedi Rüegg passed away on October 14th, 2011. Here’s a little note written by his good friend, Fritz Gottschalk.

He was a partner at the legendary agency, Müller-Brockmann & Co., and he published one of my favorite ABC Verlag books, Basic Typography.

His work still has a huge influence on me, and I will always cherish it.

    He will be missed. RIP.

I worked with Ruedi in Zurich while on an internship from design school and can say that he had an impact on my life as well. You will be missed my friend. tschüss.

Ruedi, was the most generous and human person that i ever
met on the working area in my life. I was working with him at the beginning of the 80ths in Zurich and i really appreciated that nobel man. I’ll miss you Ruedi!
