NetNewsWire Style Version 2.0

Yesterday I updated the style I created for the RSS reader NetNewsWire to version 2.0. It’s a complete overhaul from version 1.0 with a new design.

Version 1.0 had some issues with displaying articles containing multiple images which forced me to create a second style that could handle this. Switching between two styles wasn’t really convenient so I set out to fix this. This new version can handle articles with any type of content, which is what the first version should have accomplished.

Version 2.0 features a design very similar to this blog, extending the visual experience of the site into your RSS reader. It’s simple, clean and easy to read.

I’ve tested the style in NNW 3.0 but it should work in older versions as well.

To install just double click the file.

Many thanks … and Bravo - sincerely - for this NNW Style 2.0. It’s pretty amazing - and didn’t realize until now - that all the feeds subscibed can be viewed within your template.

I love it, thank you very much!

I’d really like a wide version (fluid width), it looks a bit small in my monitor (1680x1050).

(By the way, my captcha was cmyk, was that intentional? :D)

HI..love the new style. one thing I noticed is that it doesn’t show the items listed via Feedburner’s FeedFlare…giving it plenty of white space with “hidden links”…

I’ve tried a fluid version but it wasn’t working out the way I liked. Also I don’t like when paragraphs get really wide. What do you mean your captcha was cmyk?

Ohhh I know what you mean by captcha. Yes the cmyk was intentional. I changed the words to be more focused around the content of this blog.

I love the custom words, it’s a great idea to keep a theme in a blog and I had never seen it before.

Thank you for this vibrant and brilliant style. One problem I have with it, though, is that it displays the eventual profile information in a continuous line, breaking the layout. See for instance this blog (and most blogger.com blogs) : http://artgoldhammer.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default . There is an http://profile/etc. that goes way too far on the right.

Could you please give me a hint on how to fix this? I’m not very familiar with CSS and I haven’t found the pertinent stuff to change. Thanks.

I subscribed to the feed and I don’t see the issue you’re referring to. Could you send me a screenshot of it?
