Geometry Of The Mint Logo

Shaun Inman, creator of the excellent stat app Mint, has posted this image showing the clever geometry of the Mint logo. I love knowing about the thinking and reasoning behind a design. It makes that piece so much more special.

Jam, definitely right about that. I think the leaf logo has been used so much but it’s nice to see that at least this leaf has a smart structure to it.

True, it’s another leaf, but it’s interesting to see the structure all the same.

To be fair, this is a three year old logo (not that there weren’t leaf logos back then, they just weren’t as prominent in web apps).

Shaun, I must say that this is one of the rare instances where the leaf makes sense and I think you did a great job.
