A Brief Message

A Brief Message is a new site by Khoi Vinh and Liz Danzico. The concept of the site is very simple. Feature short (200 words) articles on design by fellow designers and at the same time experiment with the art direction of an online publication. Personally I love the freakin’ site. As some of you are already aware of, I don’t tend to write long posts. I like to get right to the point… or maybe it’s cause I have nothing to say. I also have the attention span of a fly when it comes to reading blogs and I respond more to visuals. I rarely read a long post, even if it interests me a great deal. That’s what makes A Brief Message so refreshing for me. Short, smart articles accompanied by beautiful visuals wrapped up in a great design. Plus each article will feature a unique design and illustration giving you more than one reason to go back each day.

I’m still researching the unexplained phenomenon of all amazing work coming out of the UK and Europe. It must be something in the water. While I do that check out the work of this talented UK studio, Accept & Proceed. They also have posters available at Blanka.

Into The Void

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was pretty disconnected from the design world this weekend but I’ve found a bunch of great work today so instead of posting each one individually you can have them all at once, even though some of them deserve their own post. Enjoy.

New Theme

So I’ve decide to just use an existing theme and customize it for myself. The current theme is based on the beautiful Modicus by Robert Ellis from Upstart Blogger who has designed some great themes for WP. I wanted a more clean, simplified look and I think this works well. Let me know what you guys think and if you experience any issues.
